HARVEST 101
Come join viticulturist Steve McIntyre for a Saturday morining vineyard walking tour, wine tasting and lunch at his family's estate vineyard and winery site located in the Santa Lucia Highlands near Gonzales. Observe ultra premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes maturing in this beautiful morning setting. Learn how quality winemakers determine when it's time to harvest. Sampe vine rippened berries, skins and seeds, measure brix, Ph and total acidity as you try and determine whether you think these varietals have reached their pinnacle. Discuss sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship with Steve and his team of seasoned professionals, whom supply fastidiously grown grapes to many of the states top wineries. Taste the unreleased McIntyre Estate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sparkling wines and enjoy a simple lunch amidst the vines. Bring your hat and sun block!
