2012 SLH Pinot Noir, Half Bottle
Library Edition
The 2012 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is a blend of two different vineyards and three different clones ‑ Dijon 943 and Swan clone from Escolle Vineyard and Dijon 777 from McIntyre Estate Vineyard. The vines are vertically shoot positioned (VSP) and the crop was thinned to a maximum of three tons per acre. Row orientation at both sites is north/south, which provides proportional morning and afternoon sun exposure on both sides of the vine.
The grapes were harvested and hand-sorted in the early morning hours. As with all of our wines this Pinot Noir vinified using traditional, minimalistic winemaking protocols including the use of wild, indigenous strains of yeast and malolactic bacteria for all fermentations.
